Texas allows Parents to set up visitation in any way that both sides can mutually agree to. If there is no agreement, the Court will enter a Standard Possession Order. In some cases, the Court can find that a Standard Possession Order is not in the best interest of the child. Cases involving abuse, violence, small children, drugs, or other relevant issues can cause a Judge to find that a Standard Possession Order is not in the best interest of the child.
Recently, the State of Texas added a third layer to a Standard Possession Order.
